    Guidance Notes

    Workflow:

    1- Application:

The applicant submits a Medical Fitness Report prepared by an approved Aeromedical Centre (AeMC), an authorized Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), or directly to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), accompanied by supporting medical evidence confirming recovery or treatment results.

    2- Review:

The Authority reviews the report, and the applicant may be referred for additional medical examinations, if necessary, before a final decision is made.

    3- CAA Decision:

Medical assessors at the Authority evaluate the applicant’s compliance with the fitness standards set out in the Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR). If fitness is confirmed, the Medical Fitness Certificate may be reissued, with or without conditions.

    When has to be performed?

After recovery or resolution of the disqualifying medical condition, the applicant must submit a Medical Fitness Report demonstrating the restoration of their health and ability to safely perform aviation duties.
