Guidance Notes
Workflow:
1- Application: Organization submits personnel details through the CAA system, including CVs, training certificates, IDs, and medical licenses for all nominees.
2- Review: CAA reviews the submitted personnel documentation to verify compliance with CAR-99 requirements. If clarification is needed, the organization is notified to provide additional information.
3- Training and Certification: Nominated personnel must complete CAA-approved training, either facilitated by the CAA or through a recognized external provider. Training certificates must be submitted for each nominee.
4- Assessment: The CAA conducts an individual assessment for each nominee, starting with a one-on-one interview. Based on the interview, the CAA may:
- Approve the nominee without further exams
- Require a theoretical exam, practical exam, or both
- Up to three attempts are allowed for each exam. Failing all three practical attempts results in permanent disqualification from future DAMP roles.
5- CAA Decision: Based on the assessment outcomes, the CAA issues the final decision. If approved, each nominee receives a Certificate of Designation valid for up to two years or as specified by the CAA.
