Application for Reinstatement of Suspended Aeromedical Centre Approval (AeMC), Medical Investigation and Diagnostic Facility Approval (MDIF), or Aviation Medical Examiner(AME)/Specialist Designation Approval

Application for reinstatement of a suspended AeMC, MDIF certificate, or AME designation that has expired, been cancelled, or suspended, after fulfilling all regulatory, medical, and operational requirements.

Online Service 15 This application is aimed at any individual or facility whose AeMC, MDIF certificate, or AME designation has expired, been cancelled, or suspended and wishes to apply for reinstatement.

    Workflow:

    1- Application: The applicant submits a reinstatement request to the CAA with justification and all required documentation.

    2- Review: The CAA evaluates the request and verifies compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs). Additional assessment, training, or documentation may be required.

    3- Inspection (if applicable): The CAA may conduct an on-site visit to verify readiness, adherence to standards, and compliance.

    4- CAA Decision: Reinstatement is approved upon fulfillment of all CAR requirements. The designation or certificate is reissued accordingly.

    For Aeromedical Centre (AeMC) Reinstatement:

    • Justification letter for re-designation addressed to the Director of Aviation Safety
    • Facility profile and commercial licence
    • Health authority licence for the facility
    • List of equipment and devices
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Copy of passport (front and back) of the Responsible Manager, Head of the Centre, and the Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs)
    • Passport-style photos with white background of the Responsible Manager, Head of the Centre, and the Aviation Medical Examiners
    • Any additional supporting documents (optional)

    For Aviation Medical Examiner/Specialist (AME) Reinstatement:

    • Justification letter for reinstatement addressed to the Director of Flight Safety
    • Passport-size photo (white background)
    • Passport copy and visa page (front and back)
    • Applicant qualifications and resume
    • Aviation Medicine Certificate
    • Licence to practice medicine
    • Health Authority licence
    • Certificate of Good Standing
    • Any additional supporting documents (optional)

    For Medical Investigation & Diagnostic Facility Reinstatement:

    • Application letter from the facility to CAA
    • Copy of MOH Medical Facility Approval/Licence (valid and current)
    • Copy of valid Health Authority licence for medical staff
    • Copy of CME records for the past two years
    • Copy of equipment calibrations
    • Copy of facility scope of work
    • Quality Management System (QMS) documentation
    • Copy of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Copy of referral arrangements with other laboratories, advanced imaging centres, etc.
